Complete Formaldehyde Plant
Formaldehyde, with the chemical formula HCHO and a molecular weight of 30.03, is also known as methanal. It is a colorless gas with a special pungent odor that irritates the eyes, nose, etc. The relative density of the gas is 1.067 (air = 1), and the liquid density is 0.815 g/cm³ (-20°C). Its melting point is -92°C, and its boiling point is -19.5°C. It is easily soluble in water and ethanol. The maximum concentration of the aqueous solution can reach 55%, usually 37%, which is called formaldehyde aqueous solution, commonly known as formalin, a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. It is widely used in industries such as chemical engineering, medicine, textiles, and wood processing. Its largest application is in the manufacture of adhesives for wood processing and furniture production.

This formaldehyde plant features high conversion rate, low methanol consumption, and large amount of by-product steam. 1) Traditional bubbling evaporator, with three ordinary concentration-gradient absorption towers, mainly producing 37% formaldehyde aqueous solution;
2) New process evaporation tower type, with three ordinary concentration-gradient absorption towers, capable of producing 37% formaldehyde aqueous solution;
3) Tail gas circulation method, reboiler type, with three ordinary concentration-gradient absorption towers, capable of producing 37% to 42% formaldehyde aqueous solution;
4) Tail gas circulation method, reboiler type, with six concentration-gradient absorption towers, capable of producing 37% to 55% formaldehyde aqueous solution;
5) Tail gas circulation method, evaporation tower type, with six concentration-gradient absorption towers, capable of producing 37% to 55% formaldehyde aqueous solution;
6) Tail gas circulation method, composite evaporator type, with six concentration-gradient rectification and absorption processes, capable of producing 37% to 55% formaldehyde aqueous solution;
